Die Aufschrift auf der Vorderseite lautet: Auf dem Schiessstand. / Üb´ Aug und Hand / Fürs Vaterland.Diese Aufschrift zeigt den deutlichen militärischen Bezug hinsichtlich der Entstehungsgeschichte des Neusser Schützenwesens.
Auf der Postkarte zu erkennen ist eine Gruppe von Schützenmitgliedern bei einem Schiesswettbewerb.
