Aufnahme des Gasthauses "Grünes Glas" in der Straße Untere Zäune in Zürich. Das zwischen 1860 und 1864 aufgenommene Bild zeigt die unteren vier Stockwerke des Hauses mit dem Schild "Bier und Wein Wirthschaft" über den Fenstern. Unter dem Türsturz stehen drei Personen. Es handelt sich wohl um Anna Bertha Ludwig (links), die spätere Ehefrau von Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, ihren Vater Johann Gottfried Ludwig (rechts) und ein unbekanntes Mädchen in der Mitte. Der aus Gotha stammende J.G. Ludwig arbeitete seit 1833 als Fechtlehrer an der Hochschule in Zürich und betrieb seit 1845 das Gasthaus "Grünes Glas".
