Die Tonbildschau ist eine Vorführung vertonter Dias, deren Projektion durch mindestens einen Videoprojektor auf eine Projektionswand erfolgt. Die multimediale Schau enthält auf einem Tonträger die passende Musik, Sprache und Geräusche. Der Laux-Dukane Tonbild-Automat war das erste Tonbildschaugerät in Deutschland. Es wurde entwickelt für Verkaufs- und Bildungsveranstaltungen. Erfinder und Hersteller war Helmut Laux, der extra für dieses Gerät die Laux Gesellschaft für Verkaufsförderung und Werbung GmbH in Frankfurt gründete.
