Der Typ DESCA war der am häufigsten verkaufte Campingkocher der DDR. Das mit Spiritus gespeiste Model ist einflammig und schwarz lackiert. Durch die Verwendung der fortschrittlichen Vergasertechnik (hier wird eine kleine Menge Spiritus in einer Extrawanne entzündet und heizt (vergast) so den eigentlichen durch ein Rohr eingespeisten Brennstoff vor) konnte eine wesentliche Effizienzsteigerung gegenüber anderen Kochern erreicht werden.
