Professor Gustav Melander aus Helsingfors/Helsinki bedankt sich bei Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen (wohl für die Zusendung seines Sonderdrucks "Über eine neue Art von Strahlen" und richtet Glückwünsche aus. Melander war Dozent für Physik an der Universität Helsinki. Er war wohl einer der Empfänger der ersten Veröffentlichung Röntgens zu den X-Strahlen.
