Olympia Progress Schreibmaschine im Holzkoffer mit einfarbigem Farbband. Da unsere bereits die klappbaren Deckel für die Farbbandspulen besitzt, lässt sich der Bauzeitraum auf 1938-1945 festlegen. Das nach Kriegsende entstandene Nachfolgeunternehmen in Erfurt, damals SBZ, firmierte ab 1945 unter VEB Optima Büromaschinenwerke, das 1946 neu errichtete Werk in Roffhausen bei Wilhelmshaven durfte nach einigen Umbenennungen und auch erst nach einer Entscheidung des IGH in Den Haag ab 1954 den Namen Olympia Werke AG führen… (aus Wikipedia) Das Modell Progress wurde von 1932 bis 1950 in insgesamt knapp 700.000 Exemplaren gebaut. Das vorliegende Exemplar stammt aus dem Jahr 1940.
