Description

Der Druck zeigt eine Baderstube des ausgehenden Mittelalters oder der frühen Neuzeit. Zu sehen sind Besucher, die sich beim Dampfbad lebhaft unterhalten oder mit Fußbädern entspannen. Im Vordergrund setzt der Bader einem Besucher Schröpfköpfe auf den Rücken. Der Titeltext lautet: "Der Bader. Auff Angst und Schweiß folgt Ruh´und Preiß". Links neben dem Titel steht die Seitenzahl 173. Das Bild erschien erstmals in Christoph Weigels "Ständebuch" von 1698.
