Andreas Louis Wilhelm Ritz (*12.03.1843 Gotha) war Buchdrucker bei der Engelhard-Reyherschen Hofbuchdruckerei in Gotha und ein Cousin 2. Grades von Wilhelm Conrad Röntgens Frau Anna Bertha Röntgen, geb. Ludwig. Ihr Vater Johann Gottfried Ludwig war der Onkel von Wilhelm Ritz' Mutter Irene Wilhelmine Sylvie Ritz, geb. Ludwig. Das im Waldshut (Baden-Württemberg) aufgenommene Bild trägt auf der Rückseite die Widmung "Seiner lieben Cousine Bertha Ludwig gewidmet von W. Ritz aus Gotha".
